Althea's journey began on the train tracks where she was abandoned alongside her sister. In an overwhelmed California shelter system where far too many dogs are being euthanized, Althea's rescue is a blessing. This 4-5 month-old Vizsla-Terrier mix has a calm, affectionate spirit that will melt your heart. Althea loves playing fetch, rolling in the grass, splashing in the baby pool, and curling up for naps - sometimes right on your face! She is potty trained, great at basic commands like 'sit' and 'come' and does beautifully around other dogs and people. Groomed, vaccinated, and happiest on long walks or beach outings.
